INTRODUCTION

BDENZA 80 contains Enzalutamide which belongs to the group of medicines called Androgen receptor inhibitors. It is used to treat adult men with prostate cancer that no longer responds to hormone therapy or surgical treatment or if the cancer despite responding to treatment has spread to other parts of the body. Prostate cancer occurs in the prostate gland (a gland in males that produces the seminal fluid to transport sperms). Symptoms include problem while urinating (difficulty, decreased force, or blood in urine), blood in the semen, bone pain, erectile dysfunction and weight loss.

Enzalutamide acts by blocking the activity of hormones called androgens (such as testosterone). By blocking androgens, it stops the growth of prostate cancer cells and can furhter induce cancer cell death and tumor regression.

Before taking BDENZA 80, inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, liver problems or heart conditions like arrhythmia (heart rhythm problem). BDENZA 80 is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. BDENZA 80 is not recommended for use in children and adolescents. Consult your doctor before taking it. The most common side effects of taking BDENZA 80 are tiredness, broken bones, hot flushes, high blood pressure, headache, feeling anxious, dry skin, itching, difficulty remembering and breast enlargement in men.

HOW BDENZA 80 WORKS

BDENZA 80 works by blocking the activity of hormones called androgens (such as testosterone). By blocking androgens, it stops the growth of prostate cancer cells and can induce cancer cell death and tumor regression.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take BDENZA 80 as advised by your physician. Swallow it with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Headache:

Drink enough water and avoid bright lights. A cold compress will also give a soothing effect.

PREGNANCY

BDENZA 80 is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking it. Women who are or may become pregnant should not handle broken or damaged medicine without wearing protection like gloves.

BREASTFEEDING

BDENZA 80 is not recommended for breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking it.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES

BDENZA 80 may have moderate influence on the ability to drive and use machines, so avoid driving or handling machines while on BDENZA 80.

KIDNEY

BDENZA 80 should be taken with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor before taking it.

LIVER

BDENZA 80 should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Consult your doctor before taking it.

ALLERGY

Do not take BDENZA 80 if you are allergic to Enzalutamide.

HEART DISEASE

BDENZA 80 should be taken with caution in patients with heart or blood vessel conditions, including heart rhythm problems (arrhythmia).Consult your doctor before taking it.

Before taking BDENZA 80, inform your doctor if you:

INTERACTIONS

A. Drug – Drug interactions:

Before taking BDENZA 80, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:

Anticoagulants (Ex. warfarin, acenocoumarol, clopidogrel)
To treat asthma and other respiratory diseases (Ex. aminophylline, theophylline).
To treat certain psychiatric disorders such as depression and schizophrenia (Ex.clozapine, olanzapine, chlorpromazine, mesoridazine, thioridazine, amitriptyline, desipramine, doxepin, imipramine, maprotiline, risperidone, ziprasidone, bupropion, lithium,mirtazapine, diazepam, midazolam, haloperidol)
To lower cholesterol (Ex. gemfibrozil, atorvastatin, simvastatin)
To treat pain (Ex. fentanyl, tramadol,pethidine, methadone)
To treat cancer (Ex.cabazitaxel,docetaxel)
To treat epilepsy (Ex. carbamazepine, clonazepam, phenytoin, primidone, valproic acid)
To treat sleep disorders (Ex. zolpidem)
To treat heart conditions or lower blood pressure (Ex. bisoprolol, digoxin, diltiazem, felodipine, nicardipine, nifedipine, propranolol, verapamil), to prevent heart conditions or strokes (Ex. dabigatran etexilate), to treat heart rhythm problems (Ex. quinidine, procainamide, amiodarone and sotalol)
To treat serious disease related to inflammation (Ex. dexamethasone, prednisolone)
To treat HIV infection (Ex. indinavir, ritonavir)
To treat bacterial infections (Ex. clarithromycin, doxycycline)
To treat thyroid disorders (Ex. levothyroxine)
To treat gout (Ex. colchicine)
To treat stomach disorders (Ex. omeprazole)
To prevent organ rejection (Ex. tacrolimus)
Moxifloxacin (an antibiotic)

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of BDENZA 80, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose is seizures.

What if I forget to take BDENZA 80?

If you forget to take BDENZA 80 at the usual time, take it soon as you remember. If you forget it for the whole day, take it the following day. If you forget to take the medicine for more than one day, talk to your doctor immediately. Do not take a double dose.
