INTRODUCTION
ABZORB CREAM contains Clotrimazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungals. It is used in the treatment of fungal skin infections such as ringworm (fungal infection of the skin or scalp), athlete’s foot (fungal infection between the toes), fungal nappy rash (skin rash affecting the nappy area) and fungal sweat rash. It also relieves irritation of the vulva (external thrush) or at the end of the penis, which may be associated with thrush.
Before applying ABZORB CREAM inform your doctor about your previous existing disease conditions. ABZORB CREAM is not recommended for use in patients who are allergic to clotrimazole. Avoid smoking or going near flames and wearing fabrics that catch fire easily due to the increased risk of severe burns.
ABZORB CREAM can be used in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Avoid using latex contraceptives (condoms or diaphragms) as this medicine may reduce the effectiveness of such contraceptives, use alternative precautions for at least five days after using the medicine. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual effects.
USES OF ABZORB CREAM
Treats fungal skin infections (such as ringworm, athlete’s foots, fungal nappy rash and sweat rash)
Relieves irritation of the vulva or at the end of the penis (which may be associated with thrush)
HOW ABZORB CREAM WORKS
ABZORB CREAM acts by specifically inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol and other sterols (enzymes) required for cell membrane production, therefore it inhibits the division and growth of fungi eventually leading to cell death, which further prevents fungal growth.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Always apply ABZORB CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Clean and dry the affected surface before applying the medicine. Apply and rub gently a thin layer of this medicine on the affected area. Wash your hands before and after applying the medicine. Do not use ABZORB CREAM on your face, eyes, or large area. Do not use under bandages or for a long time without consulting your doctor. Your doctor will decide the duration and time interval for application depending on the type of infection.

Signs of an allergic reaction (includes rash, swelling of the lips, throat, tongue or face, feeling faint or dizzy, weakness, nausea and swallowing or breathing problems)

ABZORB CREAM can be used during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before applying it.
BREASTFEEDING
ABZORB CREAM can be used during breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before applying it.
DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
ABZORB CREAM does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.
ALLERGY
Do not apply ABZORB CREAM if you are allergic to Clotrimazole or any other ingredients of this medicine.
OTHERS
ABZORB CREAM is not recommended for use if you:
Have nail or scalp infections
Use in Paediatrics:

INTERACTIONS
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before applying ABZORB CREAM, inform your doctor if you have recently taken or take any other medicines including non-prescription medicines and using:
Latex contraceptives (such as condoms or diaphragms) used to prevent pregnancy
Overdosage:
There is no risk of acute intoxication of topical administration. If you or anyone else accidentally ingest ABZORB CREAM, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms include dizziness, nausea or vomiting.
